Olmeda Orígenes

Chistorra

The famous chistorra is a traditional sausage with an intense, unmatched flavour and a tender texture that melts in the mouth. It is a very popular tapa, served on its own or with fresh bread and a glass of wine.
Our chistorra is artisanally made in Arbizu, in the northwest of Navarra, a village surrounded by forests, peaks and rivers. It is prepared with minced meat, pork fat, salt and paprika; free from preservatives or additives of any kind. It is then air-dried for three days in our drying rooms.
Our chistorras can be cooked in many different ways: fried, oven-baked, grilled, stewed… and they remain simply delicious.

Tasting note

Bright red in colour, smooth and compact. Long and narrow in shape. On the nose, its excellent aromas of paprika marinade stand out. On the palate, it has a very pleasant and smooth texture with an intense and lingering aftertaste. Olmeda Orígenes Chistorra should be kept between 0° and 5°C.
