Olmeda Orígenes
Jerez breadsticks are the perfect accompaniment to your meals, a traditional bread served alongside a good tapa and your glass of wine or pint of beer. Our delicious breadsticks are made in Jerez de la Frontera, nationally known as the cradle of popular culture in Spain.
Jerez breadsticks are a naturally crunchy bite that every Spaniard has enjoyed since childhood. The history of this snack comes from bakers’ need to make extra money by selling leftover dough from traditional bread making. The breadsticks began to feature in famous tapas such as Russian salad, a dish to which olive oil breadsticks were added; and to this day, Russian salad with breadsticks remains a staple in any bar, tavern, restaurant or beach bar.
Today, breadsticks are eaten with Iberian ham, cured loin, chorizo, meat, cheese, sauces, sobrasada, pâté, salad, potatoes, gazpacho and soups.
