Olmeda Orígenes
This is a unique gastronomic speciality of the Canary Islands: you won’t easily find anything that can match the incredible flavour and aroma of this cheese! What makes this cheese special is that it is completely coated with sweet paprika, creating an inedible rind and giving the cheese a unique and distinctive flavour. Artisanally made with whole pasteurised milk from the Majorera goat, a native breed from the stunning islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. The cheese is cured for approximately 3 months, depending on the islands’ climate. After being coated with paprika, the result is a hard yet creamy cheese. It has an ivory colour with almost no holes and a penetrating aroma of goat’s milk, slightly spicy.
