Travel back to the Middle Ages and discover a delicious delicacy from the past: Vic Salchichón, a butchery tradition from the Catalan city of Vic. Olmeda Orígenes sources this prized salchichón from producers with an ancestral tradition in crafting artisanal cured meats.
The noblest cuts of pork are carefully selected. Lard, salt, and ground pepper are the main ingredients of this exceptional product, which is then stuffed into natural casing. The curing process is slow, allowing the product to reach its optimal state and develop the strong, intense flavour characteristic of quality salchichón. It can be enjoyed sliced thinly over good bread or paired with a variety of cheeses.

Tasting note

Cylindrical in shape, more or less uniform. The interior colour is reddish, with visible diced lard and black pepper. The outer colour of the sausage is whitish due to the typical external flora. Our Vic Salchichón should be served between 17°C and 20°C.
