Our Story

“My father enjoyed being at his home in Olmeda de las Fuentes, with his friends. He enjoyed good food and fine wines, extending the after-dinner gatherings with lively conversations. He dreamed of leaving the big city behind and rediscovering the simple things, returning to lost traditions and enjoying the authentic products of the land.

My father sought the beginning, the origin, the village. He nostalgically remembered his youth, the deep aromas and subtle flavours that came from the kitchens of his childhood. This is Olmeda Orígenes — the search for the finest selected products from rural Spain. A tribute to a village that symbolises the richness of Spanish culinary tradition.

In Olmeda de las Fuentes, the bread tastes of freshly baked flour, the tomato of the hands that grow it, the meat of spring pastures, and the cheese of cream. Good cooking is simple, and that is what we seek: Origins of a village that doesn’t need to spend much to eat the very best from its land.

My father used to say that the soul must be sought at the origin. My father was right.”

Our values

A strong business and personal ethic are fundamental values in our company. Our relationship with suppliers and importers is based on loyalty, honesty, and mutual generosity. Our partners support us in our project, and in the same way, we adapt to the needs of our clients.

We are also committed to the preservation of rural areas and their environment, as well as to sustainable development. Our brand is a true tribute to rural Spain, and through our work we aim to showcase and give visibility to the culinary value of the countryside.

We work hand in hand with artisan producers from small villages, far from large industrial models and committed to limited production. These local businesses have inherited the family trade and carry on a centuries-old tradition in the production of artisanal ingredients.

Madre pasenado

Olmeda Orígenes is:

  • Goyo, taking his Manchega sheep out to graze freely every morning, crafting one of the finest Manchego cheeses in Spain with unmatched care and respect for the land.
  • Cristina, in the heart of Galicia, handcrafting just 20 pieces of San Simón cheese a day—a labour of love passed down through generations.
  • Ignacio, one of the last producers of piquillo peppers, still roasting his peppers over a wood fire, achieving flavours that machines could never replicate.
  • Alonso and his son, peeling each quince one by one, harvest after harvest, to create a quince paste so unique it feels like a family heirloom.

These are not just products — they are the people who craft them, their legacy, and a celebration of craftsmanship.
